    General Nature Clerics vs. Druids?

Well here you see the issue with mixing what is clearly two classes built from one 1) Catholic Crusader Orders and 2) Pre-Christian Pagan Celtic Priests, blurring the boundaries between them (ie, by awkwardly shoe-horning the first into worshipping pagan pantheons without removing any of the...

5E Using all 6 abilities for saves

It will also make most Wizards better at Reflex saves than Will saves, which seems weird.

General The D&D Cook book is coming out!!

For a second I was really excited. "Zeb Cook is writing for 5e?!" Then I thought better. "Monte Cook is writing for 5E?!?!"

5E Using all 6 abilities for saves

I basically like to approach it like this. Firstly, what is the difference between an ability check, and a saving throw? The way I interpret it, a check is when you are actively attempting something, whereas a save is where you have something happen to you (ie, the choice is not an active one)...

What do you do with your old RPG notes/maps/NPCs/PCs/etc?

I've kept everything from the early 90s onwards since I have been DMing the same campaign setting since the beginning. I've also written some novels in the same setting, so they are useful in that sense as well.

    5E Bad Sage Advice?

What? Where does it say that you can't receive the magic bonus if you don't receive the original armour bonus? That's simply not there.

    5E Bad Sage Advice?

I think you're reading too much into that. All it means is the bonus AC is in addition to the AC granted by wielding it, rather than instead of it. It makes no more claim than that.

    medieval architecture in tropical climates

Count the subtropics and you can use North Africa and the middle east.

    medieval architecture in tropical climates

When I adapted Shackled City to my homebrew campaign I turned it (and Sasserine) into sort of "medieval" versions of British Singapore and Malaya. Cauldron is effectively a "hill-station" in that sense.

Possible Changes to Rebalance the Ability Scores

For Intelligence I deal with it in my game by making a lot more Investigation checks, and fewer Perception checks, since the line between them is rather thin. I also make picking locks and disabling traps Intelligence + Thieves Tools, rather than Dexterity + Thieves Tools. For me dealing with a...

Possible Changes to Rebalance the Ability Scores

I really think the problem comes from Dexterity actually being two different abilities smooshed together: Agility (speed, balance, etc.) - that would be your Dex saves, your stealth, your balance, your AC bonus; and Dexterity (hand-eye coordination - ranged attack bonus). however we are talking...

Malta certainly has a great look (and like the others I mentioned, is also a "Crusader state".

    medieval architecture in tropical climates

I think the OP is looking for medieval European culture/architecture in warmer climes, like the subtropics. That's why I suggested the crusader states, rather than medieval India. Norman Sicily is also a good example. Both are going to give you a mix of occidental and oriental influences.

    medieval architecture in tropical climates

The thing is, you are unlikely to see much large scale settlement of tropic areas in the medieval period because of the problems with malaria. The reason the older Ethiopian cities, for instance, are all inland is heavily influenced by the danger of mosquito-borne diseases in the tropics, and it...

Try the Crusader states for ideas, not tropical, but warmer than Europe. The Kingdom of Jerusalem extended into the Sinai.

General Unpopular Opinion?: D&D is a terrible venue for horror

I think that was the intention of 2E/3E Ravenloft, with its Fear/Horror/Madness checks. Basically the setting upped the monsters immunities and lowered the players defenses to make everything seem a lot more dangerous.

    5E 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

I don't know why you suppose churchs should be killing tieflings (and you're not the first to suggest this). There's plenty of myths and legends about heroic figures with demonic ancestry. Look at the story of Merlin. He's born as a hellspawn but because he's baptised as birth by a priest and...
