5E Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

I wasn’t stating an authority. Just what I like and what I do jerk. Notice how I said I think all the games are good in there own way with good things in them. What a jerk. Insert middle finger.

5E Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

i really don’t think they have become better mechanically. That’s my opinion anyway. And I have several thousand rpg books in one room of my house alone. I read a lot of them. But that’s my opinion that is mainly based on my rejection of the universal mechanic being a better way to design a rpg...

5E Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

I am watching more and more sci-fi in space without aliens. Lots of stories about that galaxy being devoid of intelligent life until humans colonize it. Firefly and dune were like that.

5E Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

Planets in scifi are like cities in fantasy games. In sci-fi in general each species has one culture. And religion in sci-fi can vary. But usually it’s a misunderstanding of a more powerful alien race (which has been done to death).

i can honestly say I never saw that problem with a tiefling in play. Mine were always trying to convince the public they weren’t demons and trying to avoid being lynched.

5E Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

for one. Religion really distinguishes a culture. aa time goes on in our world religions May encompass other cultures. But they were very regional until quite recent on human history. Elves not even being human would have a vastly different cultures. Having their religions being very very...

5E Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

I agree with you. I just don’t like it. I like class/race limits to make races feel more non-human. I think that can be done quite well with archetypes in the current edition instead of classes in earlier editions.

5E Am I no longer WoTC's target audience?

Elf Druid’s make no sense. Sidhe worship and druids were competing religions that did Not like each other. Druidism is a human religion that did not like the fair folk.

    Low Fantasy - Best Systems?

runequest can get way complicated if you let it. And the spells and armor rules real get clunky any interesting. Much prefer playing COC. But i still steal ideas from runequest and it’s relatives.

    Low Fantasy - Best Systems?

very good point. And something to take into consideration. They also weren’t throwing fireballs and teleporting all over creation that I know of. They may have just been someone with the 2E proficiency in astrology. But thanks for the reference. That will be the next book I order. Greatly...

    5E Mythological Figures: Hercules

I mean no one want to tell a cool story if they can’t cross merchandise. What’s the use to tell a story if you can’t have the action figure and lunch box. And sound track.

    5E Mythological Figures: Hercules

the romans had to keep the name similar to Heracles because all the Roman kids already knew the stories when the Romans were culturally appropriating the greek religion. And Heracles was their favorite action figure so they had to rename it something very close because all the kids already had a...
