    4E Your plans for 4e

This sums up my opinion better than I did. I got distracted from it by gleemax.

    4E Your plans for 4e

That's my understanding, also. I wouldn't have even mentioned it if I wasn't so annoyed with everything else they've said about the online component - my irritation spilled over into unlikely scenarios that would also be irritating. Sorry.

    4E Your plans for 4e

The online component can go hang itself. And I say this as someone who prefers PDFs (hell, I produce and sell PDFs for a living) over print for most purposes. Chief among the problems it has are DRM and being way, way, way overpriced. However, as long as 4e does not require the online...

Publishers - email me about e23 and you!

SJ Games owns e23. In fact, e23 was originally set up to sell SJ Games products! But we had a store front, all shiny and new, and so we went ahead and starting selling other publishers through it as well, and over the past two years, we've grown that side of the business a fair amount. The...

Shilling for e23? Or any other online retailer?

Is it kosher, in the Publisher forum (or somewhere else, if it would be more appropriate elsewhere), to: - Pitch to publishers on behalf of e23 as an online retailer? - Discuss the math in regards to OneBookShelf's (exclusive) vs. (non-exclusive plus e23) contract terms? I can understand if EN...

    3E/3.5 v4: Challenge Ratings pdf (3.5 compatible)

Hey Upper Krust! :D Cool :D. Although I don't want you to feel obligated - I'm just playing with stuff, and thought the folks here might want to play a bit, too. Hurry up and publish! I gots money for ya. That, and I don't want to use D&Dg + MotP to build the background of my setting.

    3E/3.5 v4: Challenge Ratings pdf (3.5 compatible)

I've started a thread for playing with Upper Krust's system. It is NOT a third thread to discuss whether or not the system needs fixing in some teeny tiny way. It's a sandbox to build castles in. I've started things off with a bit of fun for the players in my upcoming D&D campaign (which will...

    Playing with U_K's CR system

The most valuable thing for me about Upper Krust's CR system (aside from the fact that it seems to work pretty well) is the ability to design a creature or race without doing a lot of comparison builds, and still coming up with a reasonable CR/ECL. So I'm posting this thread as a kind of sandbox...

    3E/3.5 3.5 Arcane Archer -- Nifft's Version!

What I like best about this PrC is that it can be so very easily tweaked for a bladesinger class. Just replace "bow" with "sword", and it works out just fine. For that matter, swap out "hammer" and replace the arcane with divine, and this would make a pretty flavorful dwarven 'hammer of X god' :).

    3E/3.5 v4: Challenge Ratings pdf (3.5 compatible)

I'm probably missing it somewhere. How are the summon spells broken down in this system? I.e., what limits are set for a summon monster III?

I thought that intelligent constructs could be repaired also? Well, I could, but I'm using this system transparently, in the background. And the results of the Silver Rule have so far been sufficiently dead-on that I'm disinclined to mess with it :p. -seasong

    3E/3.5 v4: Challenge Ratings pdf (3.5 compatible)

The difference between intelligent undead and intelligent constructs is that UNintelligent undead can be healed by others, and unintelligent constructs can not. The incarnate construct receives a Con score because it has become a creature of living flesh, rather than animate XXX. This is...

    3E/3.5 v4: Challenge Ratings pdf (3.5 compatible)

I would think that that would help the lich keep pace with a Cleric who has the same things in reverse. Like I said, I think the factors are individually correct, but that when WotC built the lich, they were assuming it would be only 4 HD under. And really, having had some time with it, I...

    3E/3.5 v4: Challenge Ratings pdf (3.5 compatible)

Honestly, I think the factors are fine, but that the lich template is designed with an end ECL of +4 in mind. Bump turn resistance to +7, maybe give some DC boosts to the special abilities, and it starts to look all right again.

    3E/3.5 v4: Challenge Ratings pdf (3.5 compatible)

Lich seems to be off a bit - the lowest ECL lich possible is ECL 18, with an effective undead HD vs turning of 15. At the very minimum, turn resistance should be upped for the lich, so he has the vaguest possibility of surviving an encounter with a similar ECL cleric. On top of that, however...

Magic Item Pricing - Demon Armor

Okay, surely I'm missing something in this... Demon armor is: MW full plate - 1,800 gp MW d10 weapon claws - at a guess, 160 + 300 gp (460 gp) +4 enhancement - 16,000 gp +1 weapon enhancement - 2,000 gp The contagion ability - the above leaves 32,000 gp Contagion is a 3rd level spell. At the...

    J. Anson having problems posting.

From another board I was talking with him on: He's deleted all of his old cookies, he's using the 'enworld.org' address, and according to the vBulletin boards, he should be good to go with 1.4 of Mozilla. It looks like his permission has been revoked, rather than a technical issue. Any chance...
