ZEITGEIST ZEITGEIST in legacy character builder

I hand-updated the old CBLoader files to include everything in the player’s guide, though it includes some houserules. You can PM me if you’re interested.

    ZEITGEIST X-Men in Zeitgeist

A handy table of these would be great if it wouldn’t be too much trouble. I’m going to be commissioning portraits for my game’s PCs soon and I want the players to “cast” their characters, and a list I can check against to avoid repeats would be helpful.

    ZEITGEIST X-Men in Zeitgeist

Quick Question, Ryan - who is Nevard’s art based on?

    ZEITGEIST [Zeitgeist] Nathan and Asrabey

So this is what I settled on (4e rules, if anyone cares to use them for themself). I went with Olazdor, Thisaldrion, and Rock - Olazdor has neat parallels to Gale, and Thisaldrion let me "preview" Rock. I figure between Gale and all that with Rock and Asrabey, the PCs will have plenty to do...

    ZEITGEIST [Zeitgeist] Nathan and Asrabey

So, this is what I'm currently working with for a change to adventure two. I need to more "formally" write this up, and I still have some wrinkles to iron out, so if anybody has any suggestions feel free to introduce them. Gale's Canary is more-or-less a magical invitation to a Fey Revel. Same...

    ZEITGEIST [Zeitgeist] Nathan and Asrabey

Hrm, that's an idea. Maybe I could combine that with the Gale subplot in the Dying Skyseer somehow? Perhaps instead of a daylit meeting at the falls, it's an evening fey revel that Asrabey is attending as a representative of the Court? While the Vekeshi gets to speak with Gale about the mirror...

    ZEITGEIST [Zeitgeist] Nathan and Asrabey

This last weekend, I completed Island at the Axis of the World. The party burst into the observatory as soon as Nathan started speaking, then agreed to the plan Asrabey suggested - after which he promptly slew the Duchess and absconded with Nathan. I have a few things I'd like some guidance on...

ZEITGEIST Which movies (and soundtracks!) should I use to introduce Zeitgeist?

Another good one is Brotherhood of the Wolf. I recommend that one as a good "adventure game movie" in general, though.

ZEITGEIST Zeitgeist: What do you use for inspiration?

In no particular order; Allan Quartermain Indiana Jones Sherlock Holmes The Works of H. P. Lovecraft Certain stories by Edgar Allen Poe Noir Novels (frex, The Maltese Falcon) Modern Procedurals (Law & Order, NCIS, possibly Criminal Minds) Frankenstein These are the IPs that I can detect hints...

    Updates re: the Kickstarter

RangerWickett Morrus It's been almost two months since we've heard anything from the Kickstarter, aside from getting the PDFs of the card. I think an update is long overdue. [On a personal level, I'm moving and need to change my address for the Kickstarter, and I'd like to know how you'd like...

ZEITGEIST MAPS - The Biggest (and Best) Problem with Zeitgeist

Yeah, I'm looking into a cheap computer monitor right now, actually. So the question becomes do I use Roll20 or the iPad app I have? I'm more familiar with the app, but Roll20 would let me continue to use the iPad for non-map purposes - initiative tracking, frex.

ZEITGEIST MAPS - The Biggest (and Best) Problem with Zeitgeist

I have all of the equipment needed to hook up my iPad to a flatscreen... Except a flatscreen. And it's a monitor out, too, so it has to be a flatscreen. Or a computer monitor.

ZEITGEIST MAPS - The Biggest (and Best) Problem with Zeitgeist

Yeah, a giant battle mat and acrylic sheets would be great, but is a bit outside my means at the moment. That said, the "focusing down" suggestion is what I meant by "zoned" maps. Identify the area(s) where things will happen, say it takes X move to move between these two zones, and run. FWIW...

ZEITGEIST MAPS - The Biggest (and Best) Problem with Zeitgeist

My biggest complaint with the Zeitgeist Adventure Path is not one of rules support, or of release schedule, or presentation. It is one of cartography. See, I have two BIG problems with the maps. That's one of them - they're HUGE! And the other is that they're positively beautiful. That last one...

    Font used on covers?

I'm working on some custom character sheets, and for the Zeitgeist-themed one I wanted to use the font found on the covers (frex, that's used for the "From the Pen of " portion). I'm having a hell of a time identifying it, though, and all instances of it in the PDF are images so I can't just...

ZEITGEIST Suggestions for things to improve, fix, or add for the ZEITGEIST Act One compilation?

For themes, just rattling off some of my preferred ideas; Former Criminal Police Fey Envoy (because that's repeatedly popped up in my games) Archaeologist, or some other scholar-type thing I would like to see stuff strewn throughout the adventures for any new themes, too. Not whole subplots...

    ZEITGEIST ZEITGEIST hardcover compilation Kickstarter

Along the lines of my earlier questions; will there be a way, such as through DriveThruCards, to get the prop card sets after the Kickstarter, or is this a one-time deal? $100 is the top of my budget right now, and while that covers the Act One cards, if we hit the Act Two cards I won't be able...

    ZEITGEIST ZEITGEIST hardcover compilation Kickstarter

I've backed at Gold Cell level, and will likely increase my pledge for each card package whose stretch goal is met. I have a few questions, though; 1) Assuming the goals are met, will the collections be up for POD on DTRPG after the campaign? I'm afraid I won't be able to up my pledge enough...

Remove Daily Tracking; Massively Simplify Feat Selection

GOAL: There are only three things I dislike about 4e; the glut of feats, tracking daily power usage, and tracking conditions. I've come to terms with the last, through the tools I use for tracking combat. The other two still bug me. I have two houserules, one to handle each. RULE 1: Action...
