D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

Now that's rude and childlike gainsaying; I am not rehashing edition warring codswallop, just calling it out/labelling it for what it is; for posterity, if-you-will.

Level Up (A5E) Changes to movement and AoOs

Like Pathfinder 2, I would like if they got rid of OAs for everything (the ill-tempered hedgehog) and made it a Fighter and certain monster specific feature (maybe optionally gained by a Feat).

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

All of that is just classic edition warring rhetoric and propaganda. I don't want newcomers getting the wrong idea about how things really were.

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

Nice, at least we've established it's crap rhetoric not worth rehashing; do not want new players to be lead astray of the real history by edition warring nonsense.

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

Be that as it may and I doubt that it was; I have no interest in rehashing the tired rhetoric from the days of 2008-2015.

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

That was mostly a construct to dismiss; writing people off that don't like 4th Ed as having never played it, or never having played it properly or what-have-you and assigning its failures to everything except the game itself.

    4. Never seen/heard that take - how do you figure? 7. Please stop posting things like that, it's obnoxious.

Besides D&D, what are you playing?

Total, I know, I instantly got the original 1979 edition (worm cover) and The Duel and Spice Harvest expansions; I also got some custom made Minis/Tokens (forces, including the new Ixian & Tleilaxu expansion) and an enlarged neoprene mat (the board) from Etsy.

    D&D 5E Going from 1st to 5th Edition

Yeah, one thing I really like about PF2 is it removed OAs as default for all, only some classes and monsters have them. I have house-ruled that over to 5th Ed (only the Fighter has OAs as a 1st level class feature, and certain monsters).

    D&D 5E Overspecialization

He doesn't really translate into D&D well, probably some unique demigod/celestial deal.

    D&D 5E Going from 1st to 5th Edition

Yes, and the visual of a hobbit that is stronger than a frost giant is hilarious.

WotC New M:tG set announced: "Adventures in the Forgotten Realms"

When I was heavily into M:TG back in the 90s, there was a really good online version (all cards from all sets, Beta, Arabian Nights, etc, were available to build your deck).

Level Up (A5E) Strength vs Dexterity imbalance cannot be solved without addressing the Melee vs Ranged Imbalance.

I've been tinkering with: Note: Only Str mod is added to weapon damage (save loading weapons), never Dex. Variant: Weapon Damage Dice by Class When making a melee weapon attack, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack roll. When wielding a weapon in...

D&D General Greyhawk and "Low Magic" : Why Low Magic is in the Eyes of Beholder

I enjoy them, and one on Greyhawk/D&D mythos sounds cool.

D&D 5E Kate Welch on Leaving WotC

I think you could swing it without being a billionaire.

    D&D 4E Am I crazy? I've just gotten a hankering to play 4e again...

Ha, I do; and those young Spocks, especially the one that can't close his mouth, just painful, perhaps even worse than the first film.

WotC New M:tG set announced: "Adventures in the Forgotten Realms"

I would be disappointed if such occurred. The PDF was enough. I am not really into the M:TG crossover action, so far; not how I would have liked it approached.

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

I don't think so, I also have read a lot of White Dwarf, and I don't remember it getting into Nehwon territory (I could be wrong). Fafhrd appeared in Marvel comics, back in the day.

D&D 5E Kate Welch on Leaving WotC

Which could be a good thing: Martial Person, Magic Person, d6 weapon, flavour as you like; just depends how you look at these things.
