This mirrors my experience. I don't know anyone in my town locally that still plays PF1E, everyone has migrated to 5E or PF2E (that said, 5E still dominates).

Time will tell. I recall that 3PP were very slow to adopt 5E for its first two years, took a while (and WotC's dmsguild.com) before we started to see that turn around. 3rd edition/PF1 have had a lock on the 3PP mindset for two decades now.

I'd be interested in sources on this. I mean....it could make sense (I feel PF2E worked well to bring back lapsed players like myself, but I don't know if it convinced players who never got tired of 1E to switch).

No that's not what I meant (my intent was "exclude myself" not someone else excluding me, I think this is a great and inclusive game); my comment was aimed at other posters who said this sounds like a game for which they are "not the target audience." My point is....don't sell yourself short...

In defense of straight males in gaming I think this game sounds entertaining and not sure why I'd be excluded exclude myself from playing it....it sounds like an entertaining RP challenge!
