I don't seem to remember lecturing anyone, merely expressing an opinion (I had been misguided in being free to do that, it appears). All this Koebel-hate for what he did is excessive on one hand, and boring, on the other.

I really don't think an option like that should necessarily be provided, given how he got 'cancelled', I'd reckon basically no one would want to work with him, leading to further exclusion, to no end. Completely pointless.

Is it ever going to end..? It's high time to give Koebel a break, it's not like he's a war criminal or something like that and should be pushed to the ground any time he wants to do something RPG-related. He made an error, not something that warrants for an everlasting exclusion.

You misunderstand me, I'm afraid. It's not about the VTT to use, I don't have people to play with (most systems I'd like to try) - I'm not willing to run anything, I'm interested only as a player.

It's sort of irrelevant for me as I don't have FG in any capacity, and most likely won't have due to its pricing and no people to play with anywhere.

Thank you, I'll do that as I think I have no better option. I wish that too, as Roll20 didn't prove as nearly as useful for me as it did for others. :( I would give a lot for a few Champions games..

I never had any success with that. Most games I’d like to try/play have no current listings (and never had in the last few years) or not even listed as a game to choose.

Something like that, if not necessarily for work. The problem is, though, that these subscription services tend to become more expensive in the long run than a onetime purchase. And that's the whole point of this sort of model, the constant milking of the users, which I definitely don't agree...

I was talking about things more in a general sense, mostly about various services, not only RPG-related. The problem is that more and more providers resort to this sort of "model", which is at least worrying.

Please allow me to disagree here. My whole sentiment was about wanting to pay less, so the point is not to be able to use a different channel but the option to stop paying altogether and save that money.

Naturally, I always do - when they ask. But unfortunately, I can't really unsubscribe from any more services. :(
