    D&D 3E/3.5 Edition Experience - Did/Do you Play 3rd Edtion D&D? How Was/Is it?

I had the exact same experience. It started out great but from 3.5 it started to be all work and no fun running the game.

WotC WotC Gets A New Logo?

It looks alright to me, it's rather modern-looking. Gonna miss the old logo, though.

Thanks for the input, folks! It helped me a lot. :)

D&D 5E What makes each setting unique?

Hi all, I'm about to introduce a new group of gamers to DnD, and we've decided to vote on which campaign setting to use. I'm not that familiar with the lore and details about the settings so I come to you for help: what are, in your opinion, the thing that makes each one of the DnD settings...

D&D 5E Can you Dodge and Attack on the same turn?

Some class features (such as Monk's Patient Defense) or situations (such as being mounted) can allow for a character to take a Dodge action without using his actual action for the turn. That way, a Monk could use a bonus action so that all attacks against him have disadvantage until his next...

Video Review of Temple of Elemental Evil Board Game

For those with experience in the D&D Adventure System games and other games -say, Eldritch Horror, which I'm a big fan of-, how do they compare? Are they crunchier, lighter, or about the same? All of the people I play board games with are also roleplayers, so the only reason we meet to play a...

    Deluxe Dungeon Master's Screen

4 out of 5 rating for Deluxe Dungeon Master's Screen The 5e DM Screen features some beautiful art on both sides of the screen and includes a handful of useful tables, plus the full text for Conditions. I'd wish it had more useful stuff (the NPC generation part takes a lot of space, IMO), but...

D&D 5E Expanding Rise of Tiamat: did someone come up with stats for Galvan?

Hi, everybody! I'm about to start running Rise of Tiamat during March after a short hiatus, and my players loved (my slightly tweaked version of) Hoard so much that we've talked about stretching the module up to 17th or 18th level Right now my plan is to expand some of the plot hooks listed in...

D&D 5E Converting Primeval Thule to 5e - which version is easier to do?

So, I'm starting a new 5e game on January and I'd like players to choose which setting we're gonna game in, and I think Primeval Thule is the kind of setting that'll appeal to most of them. I'm planning to get a PDF copy soon, but I'd like to know which version is easier to convert to 5e- PF...

    D&D 5th Edition Dungeon Master's Guide

5 out of 5 rating for D&D 5th Edition Dungeon Master's Guide D&D 5e's DMG is a top-notch work of art, both beautiful and useful to tailor your campaign according to your favorite playstyles. It may be not as packed of "optional modules" as some people expected, but to me this is one of the best...

    D&D 5th Edition Monster Manual

4 out of 5 rating for D&D 5th Edition Monster Manual I love 5e MM, especially when it comes down to its inspiring fluff, though in my opinion the new statblock format could be better and some of the same-species monsters (such as dragons and giants) could've been streamlined a lot without...

    D&D 5th Edition Player's Handbook

5 out of 5 rating for D&D 5th Edition Player's Handbook As someone who started gaming with AD&D 2e, the 5e PHB is my favorite D&D corebook since the 1995 edition. To me, 5e is a rather streamlined successor of AD&D that, while learning a lot from the two past editions, stays true to 2e in...

    The Rise of Tiamat

4 out of 5 rating for The Rise of Tiamat While I had some pretty legitimate beefs with Hoard of the Dragon Queen, The Rise of Tiamat highlights everything I like about high level campaigns: heroic situations, proactive enemies and political alliances.

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana probably coming to D&D website (Reddit AMA)

What I glean from Mearls' statements about future supplements is that they'll thematically fit with the "Adventure Path" being published in the same quarter, (e.g. the "Elemental Evil" adventure path will be published close to the supplement with Genasi Races, Elemental-powered Classes, and so...

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana probably coming to D&D website (Reddit AMA)

My guess is, after the 4e shutdown by Hasbro, they're expecting a lot less of revenue form RPG books and they're focusing on diversification. We'll probably get a lot of stuff on many fronts with the D&D brand on it, but not necessarily lots and lots of splatbooks.
