Great to see WotC bring out something not an adventure. While I don't have the book yet, the previews and reviews others have done make me believe that TCoE is 5e's version of 2e's Skills and Powers system. Anyone else had that thought?

Was there any real info on how shields work from the recent D&D XP? I remember shortly after 4e was announced that there would be a difference between a "sword & board" fighter, over a "longspear dex" fighter. So what do we know about the rules for shields? How do they know work differently...
