That'll definitely be possible once this releases. You'll be able to swap out races, and Hero Lab will recalculate stats as needed and add appropriate traits. (I edited my answer to make this clearer.)

An automated monster creator like the one we have for Pathfinder is something we're not quite sure on yet. We're looking into our options during our initial assessment of the SRD. That will also require some additional work on our end to implement, so even if we put that on our to-do list it...

Hero Lab falls within the purview of the OGL. Lone Wolf Development has been around for many years (prior to the original OGL). We supported the original SRD (our d20 System), so this is within our wheelhouse. :)
