Just once I want Jack to grab the rookie who's about to make a stupid mistake and scream, "I've been doing this for seven god ****ed years! I know how this works! You do what I say, or you're going to ****ing die!"

Can we have at least one operation where the tension is wholly due to one of the good guys panicking, being arrogant, or otherwise doing something stupid?

and yet another secret enemy in the heart of CTU... whoever does their background checks really sucks at it...
Background checks? What's that? [/Random CTU Human Resources Guy] ;)

Are you missing a not in this sentence?

Color me completely unsurprised by the "twist" at the end. There's always one of those every season. This one took a little while longer than normal.

Honestly, I find this one a little far fetched. They need to explain some backstory on how this came to be. It seems very "stapled-on" to me.

Agreed - it felt added on as an after-thought.
I say this because the previous episode, she was -so- ready to give up way too easily. If she was involved as deeply as it was just revealed, then her previous low-tolerance and quickness to throw in the towel don't follow.

If I ignore that particular "it's all over, I'm giving up" stuff, then it kind of does make sense as to how she got her cover identity in the first place and so on.
