DCC 3rd party DCC compatible materials?

Dungeon Crawl Classics
Hadn't checked back on this thread in a while. Thanks for all the info. The book in question was a setting book with a Beholder type monster on the cover.

I'll check out some of the recommendations. I'm looking for a real "appendix N" swords and sorcery type stuff so more stuff in terms of classes or options could be interesting. Its fine to run as it is but wanted to see if I was missing some real gold. I've grabbed one of their PDF sale packs a little while ago and have most of the official materials from that.

For Appendix N, the Lankhmar set (which isn't 3rd Party) is actually pretty good. Goodman Games no longer has the license to publish it, but I occasionally still see a copy in game stores.

I like how deities and spirits are handled in some of the 3PP African culture sourcebooks.

Currently on the road for work. I can look through the supplements I have when I'm back home and give a better answer.

Yep. I have the entire Lakhmar run, mostly in PDF, and recently grabbed Dying Earth. Don't know if I will ever run them as is, but some nuggets can be mined. I as putting vat men in my last OSE game, but unfortunately despite us all being in our 50's nobody else picked up where its from. I think I'm the only one who has read Dying Earth. I game with savages.

I never read Lankmar or an RPG version of it.

Is there a one-book RPG for DCC, d20, AD&D, 5e, whatever, that would explain it to me? My goal would be to have be a different far away place in my 3.5e Greyhawk games, potentially, and just to read it for fun/to know with limited time for it.

My impression, possibly wrong, is DCC had a license for it but it lapsed, AD&D had some licensed books but the license lapsed, etc. So what exists is “collectible” status, probably rare and expensive for AD&D (like their Conan stuff), and no PDF’s?

I recently picked up D&D 2nd edition's version titled "Lankmhar: City of Adventure" and Runequest's "Fritz Leiber's Lankhmar Unleashed"

While both are informative, I think Runequest does a better job of giving an overview of Lankhmar and suggestions on how a GM could use the setting to create various adventures in Lankhmar and Nehwon on general.

There are a bunch of out of print RPG stuff for Lankhmar, currently easily available your best option is The Savage Worlds Lankhmar 96 page sourcebook. World and City background, summaries of the Sword and Sorcery novels, advice on pulpy S&S adventuring. Designed for Savage Worlds but that can mostly be ignored for the world info and style advice.
