Team Infiltrate It was time for a strategic retreat, and everyone knew it. Lorent disappeared just as the elf-cultist was about to breathe poison gas on him once more, and appeared across the room. He knocked Rowlow back with an eldritch bolt, which freed Terrin and the Drow, who retreated toward the portcullis. Terrin filled the trio of Imani's agents with healing energy while Rowlow called to them, "So, ya wanna make it a shooting game, do ya? I'll bite." He took his crossbow back off of Getan and gestured for the grey-haired mercenary to go up the stairs and debrief Siobhan. Then Rowlow kicked over the card table, and stood behind it. He loaded his crossbow with the smooth, practiced practicality of the veteran he was, and as Saphirion swooped in front of Lorent, the grizzled mercenary sent a quarrel that pierced the little sphinx. The elf cultist was fanatical, and he rushed across the room, ignoring the defensive position that Rowlow had taken in favor of summoning a bolt of fire, but as he did so, Copper tossed a waterskin into the brazier above which exploded into steam. The already dim-room went dark around its edges, with only a few embers left in the brazier for light, and the firebolt went wide as the fanatic ducked a shower of embers. The store-room to the north also held a similar brazier, that had illuminated the unloading of the wagon, but Stryke the drow spoke magical words in his deep elvish dialect and its coals dimmed, leaving both rooms with only the dimmest light at their centers. Copper took the opportunity to slip away from the cages and into the shadows under the portcullis in the short hallway that separated the two rooms. [ooc]Sapphirion took 14 from Rowlow's bolt, which should put him gone. Otherwise, everyone is much better off now that Terrin healed them. Still pretty dire, though![/ooc]
