Villager
I've been building Celio's Forge — a free web app for D&D 5e (2014 rules) that combines a character creator with a lightweight virtual tabletop. It's live at celiosforge.com (Celio's Forge — D&D 5e Character Creator) and I'm looking for people to kick the tires before I call it anything more than beta.

I got frustrated while trying to manually fill out my first character sheet for Celio Thorne the gnome circle of spores druid hermit. I just wanted to make a simple little program to make the sheet for me, but one thing led to another and now I have this thing and I think it might actually be something. I just wanted to make an easier way for new people to get into D&D if they don't have people around to play with.

What you can do right now:

• Build a character — full wizard with SRD races, classes, subclasses, backgrounds, spells, feats, and equipment. Point buy, standard array, or rolled stats. Printable sheet + PDF export.
• Save characters — sign in (Discord or email) and keep a character library.
• Run combat on a VTT — grid map, tokens, initiative, movement, attacks, spells, class features, enemy AI, advantage/disadvantage, and a lot of automation under the hood.
• Solo arena fights — send a character into trial combats to test builds and earn XP/gold.
• Run campaigns — create a campaign, invite players, build scenes (walls, fog, lighting, map upload), save progress, award XP.
• Creative mode — sandbox map editor if you just want to mess around with layouts.
• Built-in forum — there's a feedback board on the site if you want to report bugs or share impressions without leaving the app.

What I'm especially hoping testers will try:

1. Create a character and run them through an arena fight
2. If you have a group, spin up a campaign and run a short session
3. Tell me what felt confusing, slow, or broken — combat edge cases are gold

Fair warning — this is beta:

No install, no subscription — just a browser. Works best on desktop for the VTT; character creation is fine on mobile.

If you're bored, curious, or have a one-shot crew that doesn't mind rough edges, I'd love your help.

Congrats on your initial launch!

Are you hoping for feedback? If yes, how would you like it delivered? I can DM, or post here, or if you have a discord or other community can post there?

Hey thanks so much for checking it out! You should have all the tools you need to run a game. You can post feedback here or on the in-app forum. Its still pretty rough around the edges, but if there is anything not working or you think should be added or changed just let me know and Ill get on it.

First character almost done. More later but... This contrast is hard to read - gold on gold:

Does this use AI?
The short palceholder storylets are AI generated for now, just as a proof of concept. But I plan on writing 2-3 original storylets a week, or opening it up to the community. Everything else is taken just taken from the player handbook and system reference document.

OK. I’ve edited the thread prefix to indicate the use of AI.
