Just had a really cool weekend and thought I would share. I've long been a massive Star Wars fan, so, that's no surprise. But, this week, my younger daughter, who had never really shown any interest messaged me breathlessly about watching the Mandalorian movie and then going back to watch all the seasons of Mandalorian. She came home this weekend for her birthday and we spent the entire weekend watching Episodes IV -VI. She was so into it. It was really cool to be able to watch those old movies, which I've seen a million times, just like all of you, through fresh eyes of someone who is just getting into it. Just so excellent.

Y'know, for all the crap we talk about Star Wars and bitching about this or that, sometimes it's really nice to be reminded of just how much fun Star Wars is.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend taking the trip with her to visit the Galaxy's Edge park at Disney. It's a great way to immerse yourself in a world with people who actually want to enjoy Star Wars. For a nontrivial price, of course.

Nice. I was chatting with my Battletech buddy this weekend. His kids went from too young to be into the same stuff, to being into his stuff, to wanting to be into their own stuff now that they are a little older. It’s great when those times work out!

Funnily enough, I actually HAVE taken my daughter there. About six or seven years ago. Pre-Covid anyway. But, again, she wasn't really into any of it at that point and she had pretty much zero interest. Far more interested in checking out the Frozen display at Epcot.

Not a week ago I had a random conversation with a stranger who more or less had the same experience i.e. big fan themselves, went to see Mandalorian and Grogu in the theater with someone, the someone now wants to watch The Mandalorian series at home.

I haven't gone to The Mandalorian movie, but I've just got the Jedi Power Battle remaster and plan to play it with the preteen in my life over the summer. Hoping this finally moves the needle and we finally watch a few movies together.
