Abstract Question Concerning Rituals

I have my reasons for asking this, so I apologize, if it sounds really abstract.

Approximately, how many rituals would you say that your average ritual caster has?

Wizards, on average, will have more then any other Ritual Caster (they get 3 free at level, 2 at level 5/11/15/21/25). That is 13 Rituals, minimum, for a Wizard by level 30.

Realistically I doubt there is an average. There are games where Rituals simply never come into play. Players might simply never take cause they'd rather spend the gold elsewhere. DMs might substitute rituals books for gold value in treasure parcels, but those rituals never get cast because the players would rather spend the gold elsewhere. Then there are the games where players use Traveler's Camouflage all the time for w/e reason (hostile territory etc).

I'd say a character actually interested in that aspect of their character will have around ~20 rituals by mid-Paragon, most of which will be level 10 or under (because frankly 10 and under seem to be the most useful rituals), assuming the DM says they are for sale somewhere and lets the player buy them.

That was informative. Thanks. That sounds right to me and will make for a good template.

I noticed that some rituals are used more than others.
I want to get Rituals more involved without "overdoing it."
Lately, I've been creating adventure hooks with Rituals (that is, a reason to perform a given ritual) so as to encourage their usage.
I give some of the less common ones out for rewards, but was never quite sure on the average (My friend George would tell you that the average exists, necessarily- but nobody likes George ha).
Thanks again.
