Hello once again from the ENnies! :D

GenCon is fast approaching and the ENnies machine is in full swing. Starting today, July 10, fans can nominate their favorite publisher for the ENnies Fan Award for Best Publisher. To view the form and nominate your favorite, click the link below:

2009 ENnies Fan Award for Best Publisher Nomination Form

All you have to do is input the name of the publisher and your e-mail address. It's that simple. Just make sure to do it on or before July 19, which is the last day for publisher nominations.

On the heels of that, next Monday, July 13, brings the announcement of the product nominees. Then, on July 24, the polls will open for you to vote on products and publishers.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them. You can either reply here or e-mail me directly at pr@ennieawards.com.

I was really torn between nominating Goblinoid Games and Mythmere Games. I was under the impression that I could only nominate once (per the text next to the email field), though, so Goblinoid Games just barely inched in for the win with Mutant Future. Somebody else should definitely nominate Mythmere Games! :D

They've already been nominated. :)

2009 ENnie Award Nominees

I just wanted to express my thanks for this nomination. In October I will have been involved in publishing for the last three years, the last two of which I have been nominated for this award. It means a lot to me and is very humbling that the work I'm doing (with help from very talented freelancers and supporters), which is largely in an effort to preserve a certain kind of role-playing experience, is appreciated by so many people. I've said before and I can't begin to stress enough again, that the work all of us are doing in the "old-school renaissance" (as people are calling it), is really an effort built upon the shoulders of the founders of the hobby. We're just trying to do our part in keeping a certain tradition alive, inspired by our gaming roots.

Thanks again,
Dan
