- Gwen Raiden (Alexa Davalos) returns to Angel Investigations and asks Gunn for assistance in rescuing a kidnapped girl from a powerful tycoon's high-tech mansion. In other developments, Cordy and Connor reveal their secret to the rest of the gang.
- Angel (David Boreanaz) and the gang set out to find out as much as they can about Cordelia's (Charisma Carpenter) pregnancy and the identity of The Beast's master while Gwen Raiden (guest star Alexa Davalos) enlists Gunn's (J. August Richards) help to crash a black-tie affair and rescue a kidnapped girl.
- Angel feels different somehow after he returns. He explains that he can feel a familiar comfort in his heart. After hearing about what has been going on in Sunnydale, Wesley begins a search for old Watcher friends. Lorne seems to know exactly what is going on. Angel begins to hear a voice coming from inside him, it tells him to look deep down, because the enemy is within them. Meanwhile, Gunn helps Gwen rescue a girl named Lisa from a posh house party, but realises that he has been tricked when L.I.S.A turns out to be Gwen's latest stolen item.
- Gwen Raiden meets up with a guy named Garrett at a downtown plaza, to pick up an envelope filled with security info and blueprints of something. - Suddenly Gwen is hit by lightning. Garrett runs off, horrified. Gwen gets up, uninjured. - Next Gunn, Lorne, Wes, Fred & Cordy discuss Cordy's pregnancy. - Gwen & Gunn attend a party at mansion and steal something. - Wes & Fred are researching what Cordy could be pregnant with, pondering if it could be a spikey-headed, infant Garbat demon. - Angel talks to Cordy, trying to figure out the Beast's Master's plans. - Angel comments that the Master is two steps ahead of them, and Cordy smiles. - Cordelia asks Lorne to read her.
