IF you haven't seen Midnight or their Legends & Lairs series, these are all great books. The L&L harbacks are clocking in at $5 each.

Really good stuff.

How's the Lord of the Rings boardgame? I see they have the two expansions for cheap. Is it worth getting?

I am not sure about LotR. I am getting Minotaur Lords to play with my wife, though. He likes 2-player games like this and it helps ease her into liking RPGs.

For a roleplayer, I'd generally say yes. Unlike other board games, LotR shifts things around by having the players work together to try to win the game. Everyone wins or everyone loses. Something roleplayers find comfortable.

As I understand it the Sauron expansion changes this up a bit with one player responsible for Sauron. I don't know how this plays (in fact, this might be the reason I put in an order this time), but the experience without it I found enjoyable.

I notice there are is a lot more on this list than before. Some of the things they wouldn't tocuh before are on this list (Midnight 2nd edition, for example). When I get home from my parents to my high-speed connection I'll have to look closer.

FWIW, I recommend grabbing Blue Planet, Wildscape and Dawnforge. The Seafarer's Handbook isn't bad either.
