anyone interested in d20 sports?

Would anyone be interested in playing a d20 (or more than likely simply OGC) sports game where you build your team's "characters" and play matches against other player's teams using miniautures and a grid (or hex) arena? Your team could gain xp, skills, and feats from matches

I dunno, you could work in an ante system. Magical prizes. The DM would be the referee.
I think it would be fun.

Sounds kinda neat! I'm picturing all sorts of wacky equipment and Prestige Classes for various positions or roles in specific games. The first thing to do though is to decide on a game and some rules. Reinvent a preexisting game? Make a new one? A very specific game or a more generalized, "calvinball" style of game? All of these decisions will influence greatly future creations. Of course, we need not restrict ourselves to just one D20 sport either, but we will have to start with one first.

I was thinking monster league football and bloodbowl is an inspiration, I like the idea of including several sports, and them some original sports. kind of like what quittich is to harry potter.

If you're going to do this my suggestion would be to treat each team as a single entity. Feats, skills, etc would effectively be individual players.

It'll make it much simpler.

Interesting idea, but I don't think I'd enjoy it too much. If I want to play a sport I just go outside. On the other had, if I want to cast a magic missle, hack orcs to pieces or lead an army into battle I can't just go out side.
