Anyone visiting the US for the World Cup?

The reason I asked about the US is because that's where I am and I'm kinda partial to it. Our news is very US centric so there have been stories like the ranch dressing thing and people visiting Waffle House and other places for the first time. I had hoped to get some thoughts from visitors. I can't ask them about Canada or Mexico because I don't have any personal knowledge about them.

Atlanta has some great places to go and see. If someone was going to be here I could make recommendations but I wanted to know what they thought of their time here.

And to be more honest, I'm curious if our current political situation has influenced anyone's decision to come here or influenced their experience.

We can't talk politics on here, so I won't, but I'll say: As someone who loves your country and its people very much: I am not going there any time in the near future. It's as close to Dead to Me as it can get, while still holding a warm place in my heart.

I get that. Thank you. I don't want anyone to break the rules. If someone wants to go deeper I'm open to a private conversation with anyone.

Why? This is America. Going to Mexico or Canada? That's crazy talk.
Is it though?
AFAIK this board is based in the UK...

I suspect the venn diagram of ENworld posters, and folks who intend (or have) visited the USA for the US hosted world cup games, may well be...two seperate circles.

It's affected travel even internally. My wife and I didn't feel we could travel safely to visit family because a couple of people were murdered by brownshirts right in their neighborhood.
I wouldn't recommend coming to visit to anybody I know outside of the US - not any time soon. It's just too unpredictable.

That's terrible! I am sorry that your family has things like that to contend with, and I hope that you all stay safe and that things improve in the future.
