Bats and Toads . . .

Why do bats and toads have ANY CR? They CAN'T HURT ANYTHING! In fact, by UK's system, they are worth a negative CR. I would say that these things count for as much XP as a fly, considering the threats are about the same. Anyone else got a problem with the stupidity of giving harmless creatures a CR?

The CR system breaks down under several situations. This would be one. If it doesn't make sense, don't give XP.

Ah, but you see, WotC was thinking ahead to the paper and pencil EQ RPG. You have to have bats and little snakes and rats to fight in EQ to gain your first few levels!
