Only Tyrol has the courage to ask the questions everyone fears: What if the tribunal makes a mistake? What if they put an innocent human being to death?

Very good episode.

I honestly didn't know up until the last minute whether Gaeta would live or die. This show isn't exactly shy about killing off characters, and he wasn't a "main" character, so it was possible.

But we are back to having a survivor count, Roslin as President, and most people back to something approaching their old positions. I'll bet the hunt for Earth goes into high gear from here though.

I think Zerek's alignment is nuetral something, probably nuetral evil.

So, this season we've had episodes about suicide bombers and now we've got an episode about secret tribunals. I wonder what headline the show will be ripping off next.

Starbuck seemed unfocused this episode.

So, the Cylons are going 360, back to Kill All Humans. Hrm...

I'd put Zarek as Neutral Evil, he was probably Chaotic Evil in the past, like when he was an infamous terrorist, but his behavior on the series is a lot less Chaotic than his background in Colonial Day implied, and by the end of this episode, he seemed a lot more able to work as a part of a Lawful government and wanted to be a part of the system, not someone to bring it all down from outside. Definitely an alignment shift from Chaotic to Neutral.

At first I thought it might be True Neutral and formerly Chaotic Neutral, but he used to be a terrorist who detonated bombs with heavy civilian casualties, on top of his actions in Bastille Day, both of which were definitely Evil on the alignment scale.

Has Ye has forgotten, she was mindfrak with the kid thing...have you?

Oh, no, I've not forgotten. I've not forgotten at all. But I think the fact Saul is close to shattered was protrayed more clearly than the consequences of the damage Starbuck suffered.

Good episode. While I did not enjoy it more than Exodus Part 2 (which is one of my top 3 episodes in the series), it was better than Exodus part 1.

And this episode marks the end of the New Caprica plot arc. While those events will continue to resound throughout the season, it will be only as icing upon new events yet to happen.

Back to the business of being a rag tag fleet in the search for Earth.

The entire Roslin thing with Zarek was resolved in 45 seconds, but with a nice twist at the end. Very shades of gray. Say what you want about Zarek - he was right about the consequences to fleet morale of lengthy show trials and Roslin as Executioner-in-Chief.

The whole Truth and Reconciliation Commission was a nice way of handling it too. Good writing and political parallel sense there.

Baltar is being dealt with in an interesting fashion. Nice furnishings. Didn't see a pail near his sedan chair. Must be a little smellier a cell than it looks. ;)

Speaking of furnishings...very interesitng feel to the crew quarters on Galactica. They've lost some ships and retained more survivors overall than I thought. (more kids?) A very crowded, refugee feel to things in this episode with those scenes. Things are not yet back to "normal". We've sensed this on some other ships before - but not on Galactica itself.

I'm feeling Starbuck and Anders not being played for the truth though, it feels a tad contrived all for *some* continued romantic tension.

Shame of it is, I think Anders is one of their best characters. I want to see more of him; not less.

Agreed on the tension on whether Gaeta was going to get offed or not. While I was of the view he would make it, I admit to some doubt. And that doubt is, of course, what makes the plotline work in the first place. Well done.
