Black Company: Anybody still playing?

Dunno. Actually just started reading it at Origins this year and really like it. It may influence my game style for my homebrew, but we'll see.

I like the lethalityof the system without leaving the core d20 rules far behind.

I've used a lot of the attitude and feeling for a Scarred Lands campiagn I ran, and used those rules for the first three chapters I ran of Slavelords of Cydonia. As I'm not GMing at the moment, not using it, but even in a standard d20 game, there are some gems, like the PrCs, classes, monsters, and feats.

Black Company? Its a game? *blink* Must......buy......

Sorry, im a member of the Black Company, a mercenary household in the SCA. This caught my eye.....

Not playing, but...

I have yoinked the magic system "in toto" and am combining it with Grim Tales to form the basis of my homebrew (at least until Wulf gets off his duff and comes up with something better). I also grabbed the masterwork crafting rules, since I run a low-magic world.

I probably wouldn't use BCCS as written for a long-running campaign, but it would be great fun for a short 4-6 session run.

As per Old One above, but my game recently ran down because I'm moving soon.

I yoinked the Mastercrafting rules, messed with them a little to work with a Wealth-based system, and use them for just about everything now-days.

Including Star Wars.
