This thread is a great example of making the perfect the enemy of the good. This was some interesting stuff, and I think it gave some useful information. Was it either scientific or should we take it overly serious? No.

Yeah, but I think so many options that are write-ins means that there are going to be things that would have been high on the list that will not even rank.

I still don’t see a write-in as a hurdle and you cannot really expect the poll to have 1000 options (and even if it did, I am sure some options would still be missing)

There has to be a diminishing returns on options, right? Like, people will stop scrolling eventually.

My point is that people will point to it that it is definitive, when it is not. It was merely to point out the flaws. Take that for what you will.

Voter fatigue and pattern voting are certainly real things.
