Books about defenses such as ballistae towers, etc.

Hi

Hopefully this is the right place to post.

I've been interested in building encounters where characters come up against and have to disable defences, magical or mechanical, manned or automatic, suitable for a (more accommodating) medieval-ish high fantasy setting. I'm looking for good books that focus primarily on those things. The system doesn't matter, since I'm mainly looking for ideas and implementation tips, though I'd prefer something based on D&D 3E and beyond or Pathfinder since those are easiest for me to adapt.

Examples I'm looking for are like the ziggurats or cannon towers form the video game, Warcraft 3.

Thanks in advance.

I don't own it, but I suppose The Stronghold Builder's Guidebook would contain useful infos and stats.

Regarding more fantastic variants on siege machines, there were a bunch of automatons and constructs spread over various monster manuals that were treated simply as 'monsters'.
The Eberron source books also featured a bunch of these, often based on Warforged.

I looked through the 3e books and somehow missed that one. From the description it looks that it may have at least a section containing what I'm after Thanks.

Oh, I already know some of the MM constructs (still looking for a way to throw in a Juggernaut from the 3e MM2), but I'm looking more for immobile defences, for a puzzle sort of thing (really a distraction from a puzzle sort of thing). I'll look into the Eberron stuff though.
