Brandon Sanderson named as new Wheel of Time author

I saw this on another website yesterday, and realized today that I didn't see any thread on it here.

I actually haven't read any of the WoT series (I rarely read a book series before it's completely released), although hearing about Jordan's death definetally put the series on my radar. Knowing that they chose someone who wasn't a blood relative or Kevin J. Anderson means that this series may be worth picking up for me.

Meh, I wasn't really into his books before he died though I'm hopeful that this series might actually have an end point and not end up like the book that never ends.

Figures there was a thread in a different forum about it. Well, WoT does have an RPG out, so technically it fits here, too.

If any mod wants to close this thread, I won't feel bad about it.

Huh. My understanding was that RJ's wife was a kind of co-author, and that the next book would finish the series, and that she was supposed to finish it- supposedly, it's already half-done or so.
