[Buffy] Spoilers - Tonight's episode

OK, I missed the middle 10 minutes of tonight's episode. It's got about 15 minutes to go, but I have to know what I missed...

So, the last thing I see is Spike and Buffy talking as they look for that creature from Tremors. The scene where Spike says, "We're not best friends any more, so I'm not sharing" (or something like that).

I miss about 10 minutes.

I next see Buffy fighting Spike (in vamp form) in the nightclub. And he says something about "the look on her face" (implying he was deceiving her). Buffy leaves to help Nancy, and Spike tags along to help, and Tremors-demon turns into a man as Spike javelins it.

So, what happened to cause a physical fight between Spike and Buffy--and him in vamp form, no less.

TIA.

That was a pretty cool episode. Buffy verse the Grabiod!!

....So, they go find Anya. She is doing her Vengence Demon thing with another girl and they interruolt her. She admits to changing Nancy's boyfriend, but doesn't want to help. Spike tried to force her to tell, but she looks at him and she can tell he has his soul back. But before she can reveal that, he hits her. Fight happens....

Two high-quality episodes so far this season. Very happy. I hope they can maintain the feel. When we saw Spike get his soul back, I was worried how it'd go...but instead I'm liking how they're handling it. That final visual from tonight's episode....brilliant.

Looks like I'm the only person who thinks the season's not off to a great start.

I got sick enough of nice sweet Spike (or at least Spike on the good guys side) last season, and now we've got this. I really hope he comes back full force before the show's done, because evil Spike was outstanding.

That final visual was great, though. I don't know that I'll buy Spike with a soul... though James is really letting his face look kind. It helps.

Does anyone else think we could have used more establishment of Buffy's new job? We see her walk in and have a conversation about the job... wouldn't it make sense to show us some Buffy-type humorous antics involving her stumbling through the day?

Hell, I'm not complaining in EARNEST... I'm just glad my favorite show's back.

Ya, I think Buffy should have done more with the job. That is especially true after last week's preview of this week in which they called it Buffy, the Guidance Counsler. I expected a lot more on the job stuff.

Looks like in two weeks we are going to see Buffy the Guidance Counslor. One of her students is predicting her (the student's) own death.

I was kind of suprised by that, too. I would have liked to have seen more of the job, but I was kind of dreading them overdoing it, so maybe they're just looking for a happy medium. In general, I'm just glad to see the show get back on track...last season had way too many 'life sucks' episodes, IMHO. And with the way things have been in the last year, I want at least a little humor to go with the dark.

Personally, I'm pretty impressed with how subtle James' performance is, this episode. When he's playing Soulful Spike (sounds like a spicegirl, I know), he really does seem different, on a very different level. That's tough to pull of convincingly, but he managed it.

I cannot wait until next week's episode when Willow comes back to Sunnydale. She's the only real reason I watch the show...

Didn't James do a superb job? There are times I can't believe it's a TV show.

I can't wait for Wil to return either, but I'm looking forward to the end of the inevitable "mopey phase" she'll go through (for an example of the "mopey phase", see Xander in the latter half of Season 6). I think she may get the cold shoulder from Buffy, at least at first. Xander will help patch things up though.
