Campaigns in a nutshell. Adventures in a sentence.

Was that the Australian Aboriginal Story of Tiddallik?

Many years ago I did an adventure where the Rain Frog had swallowed all the water causing a massive drought. The PCs had to venture into the Valley of the Frog and defeat the Rain Frog to get it back. It was mainly just a reason for me to use the Froghemoth as a themed monster
No it was a native american story. Here's the video I heard it in

My brainstorming notes for an attempt to modernize the official TOON adventure "A Better Housetrap".
(I would appreciate help with fully modernizing it so that I can actually try and run it)

*For all non-technological items the PCs examine roll on the following table:
1.) commects to the internet for some reason
2.) Blockchain asset management/tracking/is "non-fungible"
3.) Requires batteries
4.) Voice Activaged (and listens in and sells information)
5.) Schizophrenic built-in AI
6.) Health monitoring
7.) Is also a smartphone; the screen is cracked or damaged in some way and/or is in an inconvenient place
8.) Strange appearance (neon, chrome, etc. and roll again)
9.) Plugs in
10.) Roll again twice
re-roll any result that actually makes sense

*For any technological device the PCs examine roll on the following table:
1.) Vendor lock-in/proprietary hardware
2.) Subscription based (but with a convenient credit card swiper 50% of the time (if used, the credit card swiper tries to swipe your credit card)
3.) No signal
4.) European plug or non-standard usb cord
5.) Spyware and/or Adware
6.) Roll again twice

*More coherent alternate scenarios for why they're there:
-Cooperative: The PCs are driving through this smarthouse development when a bunch of snow falls all at once and strands their car, forcing them to seek shelter
-Competitive: It's an open house PCs are all potential buyers who have decided they want to buy
-In either case there is only one completed house in the development. The other smarthouses are in the process of being 3d-printed

*Misc:
-That ridiculous HiberTec Homes idea from Shark Tank
-Robot neighbors occupying the unfinished houses
-A robot kid consisting of a flying robot head physically attached to a cellphone

I would have to reprint the original module to fully explain it, I was hoping there would be someone familiar with it. In short the original premise of the adventure involves the characters squatting in an experimental smarthouse.

A lot of the humor in the original Toon modules is very stale and I'm trying to rewrite them to be more modern; less "Looney Tunes" and more "Spongebob"

Probably should have made that post its own thread

Only the Best Will Do - Mindflayers seek to capture powerful high level heroes as potential ceremorphosis hosts for an avatar of ilesnsene

The Road to Omelas - In a dark age world the heroes investigate rumors of a magical country where only one of the people lives in misery and filth, rather than most of them. Optionally this is powered by black magic, and the fiends that would usually be spreading that sort of thing are instead trying to stop the PCs from getting the secret of it because this knowledge would allow them to create a society where fewer people are abjectly miserable
