Can you use the run action twice to move 16 in a round? n/t

The run action is a move action that increases your move by 2 squares. So if your move is 5 squares as a dwarf or because you're wearing heavy armour, then you could use two move actions to run a total of 14 squares. If your move is 6 then you could use two move actions to run a total of 16 squares. And if your move is 7, ala an elf, then you could run a total of 18 squares.

This is why it is unequivocal that elves rule and dwarves suck.

And an emo shifter who cuts himself would go 20 and rule more than elves.

The elven druid in my game has a speed of 8, so he can run 20 squares in one round. And he plans on getting powers/feats to boost that performance.

Don't think there will be any enemies running away in this campaign.

Scary --

Just wait until that druid finds powers/feats that let him/her have "a climb speed equal to your speed" or even "fly at your movement speed" !! It's enough to make me cry (out of envy! :) ).

Don't forget action point to move a third item and items that boost your base speed as well as any boosts from other classes that might be invoked on you. You can get a crazy fast character if you work at it.

I had an elf in my last campaign who was all about the movement speed. He would run here, run there etc. Anyway, one day the group was in a fort and they needed to know what was 3 floors up so he jumped in "I will go look" and he ran his way up there, as he said, 'full speed'. So he gets to the top, and sees some enemies who spot him, he turns and runs back, but on the second floor he is blocked by enemies... he asked, "where did they come from" and I said, "see these doors you ran past that were slightly open? they must have been in there and heard you run by"

With that, he knew staying was death, and while running by them would hurt, he might have a chance... so he did... coming downstairs to the group with 2 HP (they were level 8) and saying, "ummm... there's trouble coming..."

It was great.

Point of the story is... it's not always great to go running ahead, be it chasing people, or scouting ahead, hehe.

Get yourself some boots of eagerness as well! Overkill, but great for a laugh
