Homebrew Cantrip Upgrades for ALL (D&D 2024 PHB)

Personally, I think that Blade Ward is the best cantrip in the game, especially for fighters, who don't normally need concentration. at level one, a Strength fighter with Blade Ward, chain mail, and a shield has a starting AC of 19-22. because It is a cantrip, you can cast it as many times as you like. Even at 20th level, I would be casting this spell every 45 seconds or so out of combat as an insulator against ambushes, regardless of class. I like what you are doing here, particularly for Dancing Lights and the Druidcraft and friends group, but Blade Ward doesn't need an upgrade, even if a wizard will never use it in combat.

I don’t understand the goal. Seems like a bunch of extremely minor changes, which are IMO the worst kind of changes to implement. Like if I’m going to need a houserule for every cantrip then make it unique and worth remembering.
