Cocks says more D&D crossovers are coming.

Chris Cocks says that more crossover products are coming from the D&D team. Speaking with GamesRadar this week, the Hasbro CEO confirmed that more D&D crossover products were in the works, citing the success of Magic: The Gathering. "I don't want to take away any headlines from the D&D team," Cocks said, "but I think you can definitely expect more crossovers inside of D&D. I mean, we've had such a fantastic experience with [crossovers] with Magic: The Gathering. D&D is a fantastic play system that I think is very open ended. You already have a fairly wide spectrum with things like Spelljammer to Curse of Strahd. So you already kind of have the DNA for it handled inside the system. So, yeah [...] You should expect more of those."

Wizards has dabbled with crossover products in the past, with multiple Magic: The Gathering campaign setting books, a Critical Role adventure campaign and setting book, and boxed sets featuring Stranger Things and Rick & Morty. While Magic: The Gathering has a more robust crossover lines called Universes Beyond, most of the IPs involved already have bespoke tabletop RPG games of some kind, so looking to that line might not be a firm indicator of what's coming for D&D. We'll note that Hasbro recently entered into a licensing deal with Harry Potter and has also dabbled with the ultra-popular Fourth Wing romantasy franchise, so those could be where D&D could be looking for future crossover products. However, that's pure speculation on our end.

I wonder who owns the Dark Souls franchise. Now there's a prime IP to drag into D&D. Or, if the gods smiled and loved me a lot, Delicious in Dungeon. I'd be on that like a fat man on donuts. There really are a LOT of options out there.

I didn’t see anyone respond to this, apologies if I missed it previously.
There is a Dark Souls RPG made for 5E, it’s by a 3PP.
It’s a beautiful book but had some errors in terms of writing and mechanics etc…

A lot of neon in the soil
with plenty of silicon and electrons to make it grow!

There's always a lot of fear of the "peanut butter in my chocolate" and that it will become the "Dragonborn problem" where they get integrated into the core game.

I don't see that happening though. An element or two might bleed through from another genre into D&D, but it won't be a fundamental change and anything that stays around will be reconfigured better fit D&D overall - like the Demobats from the latest Hellfire Club starter set.

Stryxhaven isn't my cup of tea but it should be a better option than Harry Potter RPG because there is more creative freedom for new plots and stories. If I want I can mix Stryxhaven with Harry Potter and other titles like the worst Witch, Winx, ultimate Book of Spells (a forgotten cartoon show), Disney Owl House, Marvel Strange Academy or little Witch Academy.

* La Doña, an episode of "Tales of the Walking Dead" could be a good example of a "Walking Dead"-Ravenloft crossover keeping the essence of both franchises.

* Maybe Spelljammer should be the best option for a D&D-Transformers crossover.

G.I.Joe would be better in a crossover with Gamma World. Let's remember the Dreadnoks

M.A.S.K. could be right for a D&D that mixed Robotix and Dark Sun but the vehicles had to be redesigned for a touch closer to Mad Max vibes, and I suggest to add some touch of Cybertron/Transformers to that fantastic technology.

* How would be a new edition of "Gamma World" if this was a collab with the future spin-off of Stranger Things?

* If my theory of the future Dragonlance show being produced by Disney then we could see some characters from Disney IPs playing their own version of Dragonlance, with a new continuity to enjoy creative freedom to change details or to add new elements, for example the mystic class (like a psionic manifester introduced as a spirit spellcaster).

* Would Hasbro dare to release a remake of Conan cartoon?

* Some new IP of urban fantasy where there is modern technology but firearms aren't so useful are the videogames like "Control: Resonant", "Neverness to Everness", "Ananta" y "Varsapura". These videogames with a touch of "new weird fiction" could be possible crossovers with D&D. Do you remember the comingsoon Pearl Abyss' "Plan 8"? DokeV, other future title also could be right for a crossover but here I would bet for a domain of delight within Witchlight.

Masters of the Universe? Sure its Mattell but the zany powers and animal people sure fit the 5e playstyle.
I wasn't a big fan of the original (but did watch it, because I was a kid and watched most cartoons). I DID like the 2002 series a lot and was disappointed when it did not continue, so I wouldn't be against this.

If Hasbro wants to stay within itself, I think Visionaries and Inhumanoids are still owned by Hasbro.
