CMB, gnomes, 20's and fumbles.

a) Do gnomes get a +1 bonus on Combat Maneuvers vs. kobolds, goblins, etc., since they get a +1 on attack rolls?

b) If one rolls a natural 20 for a combat maneuver, is it an automatic success?

c) If one rolls a natural 1 for a combat maneuver, is it an automatic failure?

In short, I would say that if it is a combat modifier aginst those races frm being a gnome, it is probably born of either hatred of deep study of one's enemies, so

A) yes

B and C) if I recall correctly, a 20 is always a success and a 1 is always a failure, so yes and yes.

CMs are attacks.

When you attempt to perform a combat maneuver, make an attack roll and add your CMB in place of your normal attack bonus.

In this case I'd say yes on the Natural 20 and Natural 01. But they aren't always successes/failures. Skill checks can fail on a 20 or succeed on a 01.

a) Everything that adds to an attack will add to the CMB, like a Masterwork weapon if you use it to disarm someone with it... so yes.

b) They all say yes but we have since 3.0 we changed it so you get a +10 bonus on the roll.

c) Same thing here just a -10 penalty

Works real good, not sure if they are some kinda alternate rule from some place?
