Comic book stash valued a over $1M

Getting lost in fantasy maps
A man died tragically in a fire and left behind his treasured comic book collection he'd been building for decades. The comics were in a room that escaped the fire and the water miraculously. Thousands of the issues aren't worth more than was paid, but there are some nearly priceless.

Well, not entirely priceless as it is being valued at over $1,000,000. Some of the rarest ever, and are in the best condition of any known copy.

So, do you have a collection you're holding on to until even after you die? I thought my RPG collection might be so, but I'm not so sure anymore. My youthful enthusiasm is dimming from it's once passionate embers. Who knows . . .

Amazing Fantasy #15 and others in reaklly good shape.... wow.

Beyond my hobby spending budget.

I have a handful of books worth in the low hundreds each but nothing like those.

I am curious what else he had in the collection.

From the article, it looked like there were over 2,500 auctionable books. The entire collection is remarkable enough that the highly valuable books were inspected, graded and confirmed with his name, the "Gary Dahlberg Collection".

Not sure how important that is, but it sounds impressive. :D

I've got a few collectible items that may be worth some cash, but I've never really looked into it. Maybe someday I'll get them appraised, and if they have enough value I'll get rid of them. Nothing in the $1 million dollar range, though. Probably nothing in the $1000 dollar range. LOL.
