D&D 2.0 Minis Rules to be Released in January 2008

In his Ampersand column on the D&D Website, Bill Slavicsek, D&D Director for Roleplaying Games, Miniatures, and Book Publishing at Wizards of the Coast states that:

In January, we're putting the new rules online for everyone to use, and we're also providing updated stat cards for all of the figures in this set. Consider it our after-the-holidays gift to everyone who wants to start test-driving the new minis rules before the April launch.

I imagine that the rules will probably change a little between January and the actual launch in April but it is still nice to get a playtest with them beforehand.
