Picked it up from my FLGS. Leaves much to be desired I'm afraid... The art... oh...

The FLGS/CS put it out today, a day ahead of schedule...
Ahh, right. I plan to go by about 3 or so comic shops tommorrow(one is doing a big re-opening thing too). I was going to look for the D&D Comic...still might just for the heck of it. I've probably seen worse.

Besides, it's not like it will cost you anything. You can even through it out in some public place if need be.

Nothing particularly caught my eye among the free comics today, so, having remembered this thread, I picked up the D&D comic book out of a morbid curiosity.

Holy crap--that's some mighty awful artwork! And apparently the whole concept of "word balloons" hasn't made it to the perpetrators of this comic?

I remember there being four or five decent comics at last year's Free Comic Book Day. What happened this year?

I managed to get 5 of them(out of curiosity and boredom)

The Spiderman one wasn't horrible.
D&D was 'eh'. I HAVE seen worse.
Teen Titans(was ordered to get this by girlfriend) was what it usually is. Nothing special.
Clone Wars(gave to young sibling) was another kind of 'eh'.
The Image one with four of their characters was probably the one I enjoyed the most. Maybe its just seeing Spawn or something. ;)

You're right, the D&D one was ugly and bad; why not just reprint one of the earlier issues?

I did pick up the ones for Dork Storm (new PS238 adventure), and Barry Ween: Boy Genius. The last one did it's job and convinced me to buy all the trade collections :)

The PS 238 in the Dork Storm Press comic was quite good, though I suspect we'll see it very soon in an issue of PS 238 proper, considering that's its a build-up.

The D&D comic was...worth exactly what I had to pay for it.
