D&D 5E (2024) D&D World of Warcraft has TWO alternate covers

The slipcase features logos for the Alliance or the Horde.
The upcoming Dungeons & Dragons World of Warcraft book was announced at Gen Con this year. During the keynote speech, the standard cover of the book by Wu Dejian/Bayard Wu was revealed.

Shortly after, the hobby store exclusive cover by Forrest Imel was unveiled--this one features a bunch of Murlocs, an amphibious species from World of Warcraft. The alternate cover version costs $59.99.

But there is another! There's a special collector's edition which comes in a slipcase which you can get from (some) online retailers and D&D Beyond for $99.99. The slipcase features logos for the Alliance or the Horde--you can choose which to display in the little window.

Additionally, there's an 'ultimate bundle' for $144.99 which contains the collector's edition slipcase plus the map pack and DM screen.

@LaTia J any comment?

Also I have it looks like only the bundle with the map is available on dndbeyond. And it mentions the slipcase is exclusive to that bundle?

About which part, specifically; there's a lot of questions in here :)

EDIT: the standard cover was done by Wu Dejian/Bayard Wu.

Thank you!!!
From a Dutch site the slipcase cover looks like this which doesn’t match what Russ was told. I think.

Hey, while you're here:

It's not clear to me if one or both of the alternate covers comes with the digital download codes inside the shrink wrap. I see that said in other places but not mentioned in others (including where I ordered my murloc cover) at all.

Can you confirm that the alternate cover editions do get the digital downloads as well?

Thanks!

You prompted me to clear up a confusion I had about that cover as well. In the DDB Marketplace, the slipcase cover is being shown front and back: the Alliance symbol is on the front, and the Horde symbol is on the back. There are three covers total for the book: the standard, the alt art cover, and the slipcase collector's edition.

@Whizbang Dustyboots, the alternate art cover will also have those downloads.

Thank you! And they look amazing!

There is a detailed breakdown of the options here. According to that, ordering either the Ultimate Bundle (which contains the normal cover version of D&D World of Warcraft) or the Collector's Edition Ultimate Bundle (which contains the alt cover slipcase) will also give you the digital version of the book, as well as some digital extras.

The neon ink version of the cover is only available at local games stores. While it is possible that WotC has worked out a scheme for that to also include a digital version for the same price, that seems unlikely to me, and nothing I've seen about this release to date suggests such a plan.

In short: If you've ordered either of the Ultimate Bundles on D&D Beyond, then you should be getting the digital versions as well. Otherwise, you probably won't be.
