Okay, who would buy an offiical D20 MODERN Magazine, ala DRAGON and DUNGEON Magazines. Plus, would there be enough support from D20 Modern fans for such a magazine if it was done monthly? What about every other month or once per quarter?

Of course, Paizo should get the nod to produce the magazine.

Me, personally, now that I'm getting into D20 Modern, I'd buy such a magazine if it started out once per quarter.

I didn't vote because, honestly, I'm not sure.

I see most of Modern's support in the way of 3rd party companies, and something like that might actually hurt their sales. It would be great to see that kind of support, but we've already got two ezines for Modern.

What about weekly? There's the Modern Dispatch, put out by 4 of the leading d20 Modern 3rd party publishers, that comes out weekly. A 3 month subscription at RPGNow will set you back about 12 bucks.

You can check it out here, its currently on issue #65. Each issue is between 6 and 10 pages.

While I support, nay even write, 3rd party pdf projects for d20 Modern I do think such a magazine could have a place if well done, and possibly be good for the market overall by generating great awareness and support of d20 Modern games from people who only touch fantasy.

I'd be delighted ... well, actually, I want to say that, but I'm far more interested in a giant Modern Dispatch print magazine (sort of like Dungeon Mag) rather than something like Dragon Magazine.

Toss in a few new uses for skills, and maybe some firearm feats, and I'll be hooked.

Unless D20 Modern has a *lot* bigger player base than the SWRPG, I just don't see a print magazine supporting it being viable.

WotC / Paizo tried "Star Wars Gamer", and it died due to lack of ad sales and lack of subscriptions.

Unless Paizo could somehow be convinced that D20M has a *much* bigger draw, I don't think they'd be willing to even try.

I love the idea of a Modern gamers magazine, covering d20 Modern, Spycraft, &c., &c., if for no other reason than to have a title on the rack that could encourage curiosity about the genre, but I think in practical terms it wouldn't fly.

It rather pains me to say this: there was a time when I would subscribe to something like this just to show "support for the line," but that time has passed, I'm afraid - even as someone who likes the concept a lot, I'd still only buy it if the content was particularly useful to me.
