Spoilers Daredevil: Born Again season two discussion

He was a lot better in Luke Cage S2. Night and day in both choreo and acting. The script also seemed to be written by someone who knew of the dynamic. And this one didn't just 'win out', it was more people saying it vs the one stunt person that was put out because of whatever and put out the opposing piece.
he was better in Luke Cage 2 but he was still the weakest character in the show, they needed 1. a better actor 2. a actor who could actually fight 3. a script that didnt make him a angsty bits..

they shouldve just passed the role to Coleen Wing

Was it a new surprise thing that Jessica and Luke have a daughter in this season of DD or was it already established in a previous Netflix show?

Funny thing - she couldn't fight either before the TV show. Which goes to show what having time to train does for you (as she wasn't in every scene so had time)

I will also say the script did him absolutely no favors.

The entire premise of Iron Fist is this guy goes a to a monastary and has some of the most hard core training ever, and is so bad ass and tough that he earns the respect of the highest monks and is granted the iron fist.

The character we got on the show was whiny, complains a lot, and literally says "oweee" at one point when he gets stuck with something. Oweee....the guy who has trained under brutal conditions for most of his life....says oweeee.

Yeah....great writing there.

Yeah, I'd been really looking forward to it and then they did THAT with a character I had loved, growing up.

What’s the chronological overlap of the OG Daredevil and Jessica Jones series? I just watched the S2 episode where Foggy makes a cameo appearance working for Hogarth. It’s been a while since I watched the OG DD series, so I can’t remember if him working for Hogarth comes up at all. But nurse Claire was in the finale of JJ S1 and she made reference to Daredevil without naming him, so I guess JJ has to be after DD S1 at least.

Also, I’m not sure if I want to keep watching cos it looks like Trish is gonna “break bad” and I don’t know if can watch that.

No entirely true - while she has had no formal martial arts training, she did learn some Wushu Basics for Spirit Warriors and Weapon handling in Game of Thrones, plus she was a dancer which helped learn the fight choreography.

which really does underline the fact that Finn Jones was a terrible casting choice given the nature of the character, the writing and lack of prep time certainly didnt help
