Holy moly! That was a doozy of an episode. I’m going to have to go watch the original Jessica Jones show now to get her backstory, aren’t I?

Someone who knows all the Netflix show details … who was she referring to obliquely when she said not everyone said no (to working with the CIA) and Matt just thought for a moment and then replied with “Oh” in a knowing tone.

I'd assume not Luke and not Danny. Also Colleen and Misty are right out. That leaves Patty and Nuke (whatever his name was)

Luke is Luke Cage. I don’t know who any of the others are. And I assume this means one of these small-time superheroes is now working for Valentina as a CIA agent superhero? (Now that her contract antiheroes are all either dead or in the New Avengers.)

My guess would be Danny Rand (Iron Fist) as he's both gullible, and volatile. Luke Cage is too anti-government to fall for that, I would think.

Maybe? That bald boss guy might have been CIA, but Frank, Billy, and the others were special forces.

That said, I didn’t think they were talking about him. It sounded like she was implying that one of their “street level” superhero buddies was now working for Valentina’s CIA. (She’s probably working to assemble a new, CIA-directed anti-hero team to replace her now defunct private contractor team – most of whom are now in the New Avengers.)

I believe the original Netflix series had him as a veteran of Afghanistan, but military, not CIA.

The most recent episode left us on quite a cliffhanger. The relationship between Matt and Fisk continues to evolve; I really like them as shadows of each other. I also loved seeing JJ again, she's one of my favourite characters both in comics and from the original Netflix shows (I consider her Season 1 the best of all the Marvel Netflix shows, with David Tennant doing his usual excellent work as her antagonist).

OK so now we know it’s Luke who is working for the CIA.

Also, what is the significance of the earrings? Why did Heather take one, and how did Fisk figure out it was her, and why did he give her the other one? What did it all mean?
