Dark Horse to Launch Ongoing 'Dungeons & Dragons' Comic Series

Dark Horse Comics, which began publishing Dungeons & Dragons comics in 2025, has announced a new ongoing series by writers Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly, penciller Ibraim Roberson, inker Arabson Oliveira, colorist Dan Brown, and letterer Haley-Rose Lyon. The series will be a high-fantasy epic starring Mad Mage Mordenkainen and spanning the Forgotten Realms, and each issue will have either an essay by a member of the RPG scene or a D&D campaign asset, which will be exclusive to the single issues. Dungeons & Dragons #1 will be released on November 4, 2026, with covers by Esad Ribić, D&D 5E Key Art Artist Tyler Jacobson, Antonio José Manzanedo (foil variant), Karen Darboe, and Mateus Manhanini, plus a 1:25 variant by Eric Canete. It will also have an essay by voice actor and Dimension 20 live play talent Erika Ishii.
