Anyway, does this give Darksun the early lead in "which setting after Eberron in 2009 gets released".
Have they every said that they are considering releasing some of the old OOP campaign settings? I know that they never did for 3rd or 3.5, just a couple of Dragon articles....
It would be cool if they reprinted them, maybe with just a 1-book campaign setting book, and publishing more if they sold well....
Personally, I'm hoping for Planescape.![]()
I have the feeling we'll see a once-a-month Campaign Classic article dedicated to each (surprise) classic campaign. Dark Sun being first may mean little.
its nice to see some Dark Sun material, especially stuff that lends itself to other types of campaigns; I hope that the column continues that generalist trend (world specific articles that plunge into the setting fluff are the province of feature articles IMO).
And I am happy with this kind of editorial calendar for settings. Though, I still wonder, if in 2 years or so, we don't see another setting book come out. FR Campaign Guide 2 or something.I believe that has been stated as how they're going to handle the campaign books, too. The "This is setting specific, but even if you don't play in this setting, we're trying to set it up so you could pluck this stuff out for your own setting."

Now, are they restricting themselves to only one adventure per setting?
One really big adventure per setting, is my understanding. I would imagine Dungeon would be the venue for finding more, and shorter, ones. Now, are they restricting themselves to only one adventure per setting?
