Pathfinder 1E Did most PF1e Players migrate to 2e or stick with 1e?

There's also a good argument that SF1 suffered from being neither fish or fowl. It wasn't really just based on PF1e, and it didn't entirely go to PF2e, and there were experimental elements of it that didn't really pan out well. Since they were going to do the Remastered project with PF2e, there was little reason not to make SF2e compatible with it (even if that made some people unhappy).
I would guess SF1 was rushed out the door based on an unfinished early version of PF2. But I agree, longterm it makes sense to have it be cross-compatible with their main game. When SF1 was announced I expected it would be cross-compatible with PF1, but of course I didn't know they had started working on PF2.

Yeah, if you look at timing and such, you're almost certainly right. And unfortunately, it showed in spots.

Hey, @VHawkwinter, just wanted to let you know that I'm going to drop this conversation, not because I haven't found it interesting and think it could still go somewhere, but because the two of us kind of grabbed this thread and drifted it like heck, since for a while now its mostly just been the two of us, and had the most tentative connection with the thread origin.

But I wanted to thank you for a nice conversation where even though we had a few fundamental disagreements I never found it anything but pleasant and interesting. Not something you see with a long conversation online too often.

That is fair. We were certainly circling around the thread topic more than engaging it directly and we were speaking way more than anyone else, and I am similarly pleased at your ability to be civil in disagreement, and your good points. I look forward to our next interaction here. I'll see you around. 🧙‍♂️🤘
