Djeta gets her dream car...It's about time!

First Post
After 3 years of wanting a purple PT Crusier, I have finally gotten one!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Yay!
:D
Except it's not purple, it's black which is even cooler. It looks like a 1930's gangster car. Let me just gloat for a minute...

2002 PT Cruiser (limited edition)
used; 1 owner, 11,000 miles
Leather interior
moonroof
cd & tape player (wow...I can actually listen to the 4 tapes I still actually own!)
lumbar seating
keyless entry
all the other aspects of a luxury car

The smoothest handling car I've ever driven. And I get to pick it up on Tuesday!!! Oh yeah...

:)

My dad went with me to the dealer and used his +20 haggling skill to get the price lowered by about 2000 too. Yippppeeee!!!!!!!!

Okay, I'm done ;)
:D

Gratz, PT cruisers are cool!

I like mine better though, esp on europian roads, and with europian gas prices :P

(I still drive the dreaded black smart)

Yay! Good happenings. :)

My family has a Silver 2001 PT LE.

Smooth handling, but the leather seats feel kinda like you're sitting on wood.

Haha...yeah, I wasn't crazy about the leather seats at first. But it was either leather seats or don't get a PT Cruiser. My main problem with leather seats was that my dog is drawn to leather...he enjoys chewing on it. But I can flip the backseat down and he should be fine.

I thought the Prowler was a pretty interesting car back when they first came out, but now I think they look too awkward. They almost look unfit for highway driving...

I doubt I'll ever tire of the Cruiser itself. But after some serious thought, I realized , in 8 years , I might not want to be driving around in a bright purple car.

When I was in college, I had this stupid Hyuandi Excel hatchback, loaded with bumper stickers, political, bands , stupid catchphrases etc. I had the interior done in leopard print. Gah! It was awful.

I now hold the polar opposite political beliefs (for the most part), detest almost all the bands, and none of the sayings are funny to me anymore.

Now, I doubt I'll ever douse a car in stickers again. People change. But I'm a lot older now and my taste in cars themselves is not likely to change much. :)
