Dmg dealer Roque/Fighter build

First Post
A few weeks now i consider in making a lvl 10 roque style char that will use TWF and Improved TWF... I think a combination of Roque 8/Fighter 2 will be good enough. The race i have choosen is whisper gnome due to the high hide skill, dex bonus and silence...
The feats i have in mind are:

1. Roque (weapon finesse)
2. Roque
3. Roque (craven -from Champions Of Ruin i think-)
4. Roque
5. Roque
6. Roque (Exotic Weapon Proficiency)
7. Roque
8. Roque
9. Fighter (TWF, Tailing blow)
10. Fighter (Improved TWF)

I take exotic weapon prof cause i want to wield two elven quartblades (light weapons, 18-20 x2) and add keen on them (that makes them 15-20 x2)... I consider on taking the disruptive attack alternative from ph2 at lvl4 and i plan to take staggering strike on lvl12...

All these give me a +8/+3 BAB... adding bonuses from gnome (+1) , dex (+6), weapon enchant (+1) and gloves of dex (lets say +1), i end up having +15/+10 anb because of TWF i have +13/+13/+8/+8 that deal 1d6+11+str+4d6 SA each (offhand gets str/2)... So if the first attck succeds the other attks will have the enchantment +5 from disruptive attack... that ensures that all or nearly all 4 attkcs will hit dealing lots of dmg to the oponent...

How do u find that build? Send your erratas and help... Thx

RoGue.

I'd take the fighter levels earlier on, makes life easier...but you're growing this guy in a test-tube so I guess it doesn't matter.

I'd also take Imp crit as a feat, so your weapons are cheaper/more powerful, rather than keen.

If you are going for damage, choose a race that does not weild small weapons...but with a finesse build, you have already given up on base weapon damage.

You can't take Weapon finesse at Rogue 1. It requires BAB +1.

second of all, have you looked at taking Swashbuckler3/Rogue7 Use Daring outlaw to let your rogue and swash levels stack for Sneak attack and the Grace/dodge bonuses.

Swash carries full BAB progression, Good Fort Saves and you get to add your INT to damage. And you pick up Weapon Finesse for free at Swash1.

Also keep in mind that with your build (so far) it relies on you pulling off the Full attack action. You're a rogue, so the less time you have to spend in melee the better. Look into some of the items from the Magic Item Compendium that give you short distance movement as a quick action (Anklet of Translocation, Chronocharm of the horizon walker.)

I always want to take improve crit on feat but you know that if i wanted to take this as a feat i had to give up another one that cant be replaced by a weapon ability... I
choose not to take impr crit feat in order to take other more usefull ones... ;)

Small race gives you +2 on attk rolls that is better than +2 on dmg rolls (if i was raising str).. And small weapons isnt a problem.. Roques relly on SA dmg not on weapon dmg...

Ops my mistake...
Lets try on taking the craven feat at 1st lvl and weapo finesse at 3rd lvl.. I think this is ok

Just note that at that level you fight a lot of elementals, undead, constructs, plants, etc. that are all immune to sneak attack. You should have a good backup against these creatures, or a friendly wizard with the spells that allow you to sneak attack these. Also, you'll need a good strudy fighter to flank with, and high AC to avoid getting killed. Make sure you've got ranks in Escape Artist, as being small can hurt in a grapple.

Seconded. Relying on sneak attack as your damage means that sneak attack immune things* will ruin your day.

For counters, you can max out Use Magic Device and use wands of Fireball, etc. Also, at that point, you can shift into more of a support role, providing flanking and aid another bonuses for the fighter/barbarian with the 2h weapon to hit. Heck, you can grab the treasure if you have nothing else better to do (useful if the DM has Savage Species and puts Final Strike on anything that fits, like mine do).

got a similar style TWF in my campaign, she always hates dealing with undead / constructs so she went Rog 4/ Fighter 4 to get extra feats / bab and hits. (+ option of weapon spec)
(Improved crit is next on her list as she spent a lot of feats to get into Shadowdancer Prc)

If you're just after damage then I'd keep M size so you use proper weapons - rapier / scimitar are finessable and work well with improved crit. And isn't it only +1 attack. +1 AC for S size?

not sure where you're getting the damage bonus (+11) from excluding str, but i don't know too much about the non-core stuff you're quoting

Way to go. You might think about losing 2d6 sneak attack and take 4 fighter levels. Gives you some feats to take Dual Strike or Two Weapon Pounce which allow you several attacks while moving (though only once sneak attack for dual strike).

The abovementioned 4 fighter levels allow Weapon Spec and Melee Weapon Mastery. These both feats and you won't care too much whether you can sneak attack your enemy or not. Daring Warrior is another feat then to think about... and I would check out the alternative Swashy class features in PHB2 and the Complete Series, they rock.

Head towards Tempest or Dervish later.
