I'm at the gym just finished workout, recovery takes time

Obviously. But that's where the desire is instantly unworthy of being entertained as a result of not admitting it. Instead of saying that so an alternative could be found or considered for that you avoided the mechanical specifics and actual ask the hypothetical player wanted by cloaking the mechanical desire under RoLePlAyInG for pages of multiple posters asking u why various completely reasonable alternatives and compromises on the player's part aren't an option.

That's a completely unreasonable hole I take a long long time to forget a player digging themselves into when they ask for stuff down the line.

Im aware and remember reading it when you introduced it to avoid the yeti discussion. What I don't see is how that defends or acknowledges the fact that you used "big guy" as RoLePlAyInG fluff to obfuscate "
I want bonus carry cap, reach, better unarmed.Something." and ensure nobody would be capable of even attempting to address the actual desire.

Always have been. Elves and half-elves have the same abilities (elves just have more/better ones at the cost of class options) and dwarves, gnomes and halflings all have overlapping abilities (slow, mining detection, infravision, bonuses to save vs magic and or poison, chance of magic item failure). And the half-orc has infravision. That's it's. Not surprising since Gary only begrudgingly even placed races in the game, so the idea that they would all have similar weak abilities and finicky offsets (ranging from trivial to crippling) fits his design ethos.
It almost feels like Gygax wanted to not have any race playable but human but knew his players wouldn't play long without demihumans.

None of that is obfuscation at my table.

I count carry capacity and bendbarsliftgates.

I get really tired of being told I'm a bad DM because I happen to run it differently than some people want. I can count on one hand the number of people who have left my game because I wasn't the right DM for them on one hand and still have fingers left over - I can think of one finger in particular that seems like an appropriate response - and I've been DMing for decades. Even if I don't count conventions, that includes over a dozen different home campaign groups populated by new people other than my wife because we've had to move a lot over the years.

I don't try to be the right DM for everyone, I don't think any DM should try or even can be. We all have preferences about what we want out of the game there's no need to be insulting because people share different styles.

Is your memory ok? If its not relevant and not an obfuscation then why did you bring it up in 603 to avoid being called out in 593 after you switched from "big guy" to mechanics?

I'm sorry for the swipe, but I find this rich considering the rest of the context of your post.
..., if you want to play generic fantasy land with so many options it all blurs together play a Forgotten Realms game. I do now and then and it's fine I suppose.
You suppose it's fine? So many options blur together? Generic fantasy land? Please, tell me when you feel you weren't being insulting.

Im confused because I honestly am not hiding something.

For over 40 years, D&D has displayed the idea of playing the archetype of the Big Guy.

ME lacks Big Guy Cultures, History, mechanics, or gameplay.

AND not only that, the cultures are so few and narrow you cant even pick on that is on the map. The large barbarians are on Sauron's side. The orcs are evil.

This is one of many reasons why I said Middle Earth unaltered by DMs is a bad setting for D&D. If you curate D&D to match the books, it wont have enough options for D&D to be fun for 90% of tables.
