D&D General Does Beacon of Hope maximize the damage from Vampiric Touch?

[Munchkin] Since the most healing that "Vampiric Touch" can can do is based on doing the most damage that the spell can do AND since "Beacon of Hope" maximizes the healing that any spell can do THEN "Beacon of Hope" MUST maximize the damage that "Vampiric Touch" does, as that is the only way to maximize the damage. RAW, if read by a Munchkin.

But it just is not RAW. It is a logical error.
