Hi all,

Has anyone come out with a product, either print of PDF, of JUST maps. Primarily town and city maps. Well-drawn, un-named, with numbered locations (so one can decide what they are themselves).

And if not, does anyone think this is a good idea? I know I'd buy it.

Just wondering...

2edADnD had a whole series of Cities of...

some of these include 3D mock ups you could make from paper.
wotc used to have them on their site too for free

Kingdoms Of Kalamar City Map Folio was just maps, but the maps in it were so god-awful I couldn't bear to purchase it. It's not even worth the $8.00 from RPGNow in PDF form. Literally, they look like they were randomly generated with CC2. I don't remember if there were any numbered locations in them; I don't think so.

Seven Cities had, predictably, seven city maps (from thorp to metropolis) but it's not just maps. It's a pretty darn good product, though.

There's a d20 modern product by Chris West called Critical Locations (I think!) which has maps of various buildings you might find in a city.

Its a cool product, but the maps are much better suited to the modern era than a historical or fantasy setting.

If you don't mind printing them yourself, you could always get a used copy of The Forgotten Realms Atlas

Tons (over 800, I think) of maps in CC2 format, so you can edit them and print them.

I use them constantly for my home brew games.

You know, I actually OWN this (it's somewhere in my apartment, not sure where).

I should see if I can find it.

Anyway, I'd love to see someone put out a product like this. Hell, if I had the time I'd master Campaign Cartographer 3 and do it myself. Maybe someday...

I've thought about doing something like that for awhile, but haven't had time yet. I'd like to do the numbers as fillable forms in a PDF, though, so you could change them around, eliminate some if you don't need them, print out unnumbered copies for the players, that sort of thing.

Well, if you ever do it you've gone one sale waiting :)

I'm always interested in RPG products like this.
