Double Weapon Fighter PrCs

Gunslinger

First Post
I'm currently playing a human Ftr5 who fights with a 2 bladed sword. My feats are: exotic weapon profiency, power attack, double weapon fighting(lets you use a double weapon as if you had TWF and ambi), power double weapon fighting(gives me my full strenght bonus to both attacks), weapon focus, and weapon specialization. Next level I'll be taking improved power double weapon fighting(gives me 1.5x strength to both attacks). The only problem is that I have been totally unable to find any PrCs for characters fighting with double weapons. Any suggestions?

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is the Blessed of Gruumsh PrC from Dragon. I think it requires you be proficient with an orc double-bladed axe and it gives you cool abilities like being able to double the number of your two-bladed weapon attacks 1x/day.

I know this won't fit your character concept, but you may want to consider modifying it for your campaign.

The only problem with the Tempest is that I'm using a double weapon, and wearing full plate. That would mean I couln't use any of the abilities the Tempest gains.

I probably should have mentioned that I was wearing full plate in my first post.

Why bother? You are already better than any normal fighter.

Three of your homebrew feats already grant better benefits than most prestige classes give.

What goodies do you think a prestige class should grant you?

Actually they aren't homebrew feats, they're from Ultimate Feats by Mongoose.

As for what I'm looking for in a PrC, I don't really know. I was just going to see if there were any for double weapon fighters, and then decide if any of them interested me.

Those must be from the onn line book of feats or something. They really are more powerful then anything you will find in a prestige class.

There really aren't any prestige classes that fit what you are doing.

Well, that's one product I don't have to worry about buying.

I wouldn't let those feats anywhere near my game.

Your getting the best of both worlds: the extra attacks from two weapon fighting, and the x1.5 strength from wielding a two-handed weapon. It's way overpowered if you have a decent strength. All you need now is as feat that gives you an AC bonus for wielding a double weapon and you will be better than sword and shield fighters as well.

The Weapon Master from S&F isn't specifically a two-weapon fighter PrC but it works just as well for any weapon. Higher number of attacks also means you'll probably get more opportunities to use the Increased Multiplier ability.

I'm curious about the actual source of those feats. They'd have a snowball's chance in hell (read: none) of getting into one of my games. A feat that takes two feats that are already fairly desireable and combines them into one is just plain wrong. Then to allow you to use your full Str modifier with each hand... And then another one to allow you to act as if you have a two-handed (effectively) grip with each hand... No way.

And something from any product that isn't the Core Rules is as good as a homebrew feat. Sometimes they're good, other times they're hideous.

I'm betting the netbook of feats. I looked at it once and then deleted it. I thought is was terribley done balance wise.
