Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft

Dungeons & Dragons officially announces World of Warcraft crossover, launching this November

The only Warcraft I've ever played was OG Warcraft 3+Frozen Throne+Single Player custom maps.

Honestly, I always found it weird that they went from an RTS to a MMORPG to continue the story basically. I get the appeal of it on some level, but I'm not really a MMORPG player at heart.

But, it was interesting to see how WoW started to what it is now.

I remember when it was a big deal to finally score a mount.
I remember the absolute horror show that was the warlock mount quest back in the day. Such a nightmare.

The more I think about this, the more I like the idea of a crossover and the more grumpy I get about WotC gleefully half-assing the design.

It will be interesting to see the mechagnome in D&D terms.

Hyper Organic Light Originator. Mirror Image. Always prepared. Cast 1/day without using a spell slot.

Mastercraft. Your body and limbs can substitute for any artisan's tools.

Skeleton Pinkie. Your fingers can substitute for thieves' tools and you are proficient with thieves' tools.

Combat Analysis. Seems like 13th Age's escalation die. +1 to all checks per round of combat completed. So +1 on round 2, +2 on round 3, etc.

Emergency Failsafe. Relentless Endurance from orcs.

I would be pleasantly surprised if they can get synergy with Universes Beyond partners
It's possible, they are giving out a promo mini for the StarCraft Miniatures game. So it's definitely possible!

Anything you hoping for?
Lots of details on The Last Titan, including our city hub, what new or classes races might be offered (both of those are a gimme to be announced, if they're happening). Info on new expansion features, glimpses of the new delves (including labyrinths) and maybe who the new delve companion will be. They've been very mum on upcoming housing features, so I'm expecting some big announcements there (maybe we can finally hang our weapons on the wall -- my hunter has literally 80%+ of the guns they've had in the game over 22 years). And some new features that will come out of nowhere.

It sounds like there's going to be a major StarCraft announcement that will take up a bunch of the oxygen in the opening ceremony and they seem to be raising Heroes of the Storm from the grave, which is also cool.

I know it’s a pipe dream, but opening up more race-class combos, making older allied races easier to unlock, and making life better for free accounts (access to the warband bank for one) would be nice.
They have had a Dragonflight storyline that explicitly made a new order of knights, formed around the reactivated Keeper Tyr, made up of non-playable paladin races (night elf, Kul Tiran, troll and I forget what else). Before the end of The Last Titan, they'll be opening up the paladin class to more playable races for sure.
